About
us
Together we strive to continually improve the health and quality of life of the people in the communities we serve — body, mind and spirit.
Promise to Talk.
Promise to Talk is a mental health stigma reduction initiative that is being implemented by the three Providence Orange County hospitals: Mission Hospital, St. Joseph Hospital, and St. Jude Medical Center.
Promise to Talk promotes open and honest conversations to improve community understanding, acceptance and support of mental health and wellness in Orange County.
We are sharing the movement with everyone in Orange County because when it comes to health, our minds deserve the same attention as our bodies.
Through this multilingual (English, Spanish and Vietnamese) campaign, we continue our steadfast commitment to serve all communities, especially those in need. We are collaborating with community partners to increase awareness about the importance of taking care of our minds and bodies. We are also going into communities and sharing resources and tools to help people connect to needed support and services.
Join us and together let’s promise to talk and promise to listen!
When we help each other and communicate, we are contributing towards creating a more supportive and understanding community. Let’s join together and Make a Promise, or commitment, to start open and honest conversations.

Our
partnership.
Mission Hospital, St. Joseph Hospital, and St. Jude Medical Center have a long-standing history of commitment to improving the health and quality of life of people in the Orange County communities. As part of that commitment and based on community needs, each organization has invested in educating the community about mental health. As a result of this commitment, in 2015, a partnership evolved between Mission Hospital and the statewide Each Mind Matters movement to improve Orange County’s mental wellness and encourage open and supportive conversations. In 2018, that partnership was expanded when St. Jude Medical Center and St. Joseph Hospital joined Each Mind Matters Orange County. To date, this regional effort continues to serve the needs of local communities and is gaining momentum across Orange County.
Mission Hospital, St. Joseph Hospital, and St. Jude Medical Center are members of Providence, For more information on each medical facility, visit their websites at https://www.providence.org/locations/socal/mission-hospital-mission-viejo, https://www.providence.org/locations/socal/st-joseph-hospital-orange, and https://www.providence.org/locations/socal/st-jude-medical-center.
